Hi there stampers!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend and are getting ready for the big game on Sunday!  I am counting down the minutes until I get to watch the Panthers beat the Broncos….fingers crossed.  🙂

For today’s card I used the technique of inlay die cutting to create this Valentine’s Day card.  I cut out the large intricate heart using the die from the thinlit set called Bloomin’ Heart featured in the 2016 SU Occasions Catalog.  I cut out the heart from a piece of blushing bride and also from the piece of DSP that will be my card front.  The DSP is from the Love Blossoms paper stack which is also from the SU Occasions Catalog.

After cutting the hearts from both pieces, I inlaid the blushing bride heart into the negative space of the DSP.  I also cut out the matching flower dies that come in the thinlit set from rose red cardstock and glued those to the die cut heart.  I added pearls to the center of each flower.
I placed a piece of acetate behind the die cut and glued the die cut onto the acetate to keep it in place.  This was layered onto a card base of garden green with foam adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Bloomin’ Love that coordinates with the die and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  This was layered onto a piece of garden green and I popped up a small heart to add some interest to the sentiment.
Have a great weekend and Go Panthers!!  Happy stamping!
