Hi there stampers! I have yet another baby card for you today and hopefully you are not sick of seeing baby cards. 🙂 I needed one more card for a sweet little new bundle of joy coming to some friends soon.
For today’s baby card I pulled out the Barnyard Babies stamp set and stamped the little lamb all over a piece of watercolor paper with the archival basic black ink that is watercolor friendly. The stars are from the stamp set Balloon Celebration from the Occasions Catalog. After stamping all the images I watercolored them using distress inks a size 2 watercolor brush. The colors I used are hickory smoke, antique linen, black soot, and tattered rose for the cheeks. For the background wash I used faded jeans. I couldn’t get the background to be just how I wanted it as the paper kept drying too quickly.
I stamped the sentiment from the Barnyard Babies again in the archival black ink as this gives a very crisp image for sentiments. The little heart is from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and was colored with the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. The sentiment was popped up using dimensionals with some silver thread. The entire watercolor piece was added to a basic black card base.
It has turned cold here this weekend so it’s a perfect time to get some stamping done. What are your plans for the weekend? Thanks for stopping by!
