Hi there stampers!  For today’s card I am sharing the card I made for my husband for our upcoming first year anniversary.  I always find masculine cards difficult to make because I love to add glitter, rhinestones, flowers, and all things “girly”.  I really struggled coming up with an idea.

I was looking through Pinterest for inspiration when I saw a card made with the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Pedal Pusher.  A light bulb went off and I knew this was the stamp set I wanted to use.  My husband and I met cycling so for our wedding we had a lot of bike themed decorations so using this stamp set was perfect.  We even had a tandem bike like this at our wedding that we got a lot of pictures with.

See isn’t Pedal Pusher the perfect set to use?!?!?  So I kept the card pretty simple.  I stamped the bike in Archival Basic Black ink and then colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  I cut out the bike using one on of the framelits from the Circles Collection.  I embossed my card base made from crumb cake with the embossing folder Happy Heart.  I cut a piece of cherry cobbler striped ribbon (now retired) and adhered that to the card.  I popped the bike up using dimensionals and then added the sentiment that was heat embossed in white on some cherry cobbler cardstock.  A few white enamel dots finished the card.
So for the first anniversary you are supposed to give paper.  So I figured a handmade card was perfect and then got him a subscription to Adventure Motorcycle magazine because he loves his motorcycle. I probably won’t be posting much this weekend as we plan to head to the beach to celebrate and I’ll be away from my stamp room.
