Happy Monday stampers!  I am continuing to feel better from my car accident on Friday and was able to create a card yesterday.  I haven’t been able to workout yet but am going to attempt a slow and easy run today to see how I feel.

For today’s card I am using the new bundle from the 2016-2017 SU Annual Catalog called Fiesta Birthday.  I knew I had to have this bundle from the first time I saw it because I fell in love with that cute little llama.  He sure is adorable!  I also liked all the banner and streamers dies in the coordinating framelit set called Fiesta Time.

To create the banner background, I took a piece of pool party cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and cut out all the banner/streamer dies.  I laid the 3 dies down on my craft mat to line them up as straight as possible and then put a piece of tape on each end to hold them in place because I knew I’d need to cut this arrangement out a few times.  I would cut out the banners and then move the dies down the card front and cut again.  After getting everything cut out of the pool party piece, I then cut out the 3 banners from scraps of calypso coral, wisteria wonder, and crushed curry.  I then inlaid the banners into the pool party piece using some Tombow Multipurpose glue.  It took some patience but it ended up coming out pretty cool.
I stamped the llama with Archival Basic Black Ink onto some watercolor paper and used an aqua brush to apply soft suede ink.  I then colored his blanket with some calypso coral ink and once dry, stamped the decoration directly onto the watercolor paper with the same calypso coral ink.  I then used the coordinating die to cut him out.  I also stamped the cactus in some pear pizzazz and used the die to cut this out as well.  How cute is that llama?!?!
I then stamped the sentiment from the Fiesta Birthday stamp set in Versamark ink onto a scrap of vellum and heat embossed in some Wow Fools Gold embossing powder.  I cut out the word ‘Fiesta’ and adhered this to the llama.  I then used dimensionals to add the llama and cactus to the card front.  I adhered the piece to a top folding A2 card base made from some thick whisper white cardstock.  I added some star confetti from Pretty Pink Posh to give the card a little extra interest.
Congratulations Dani and thank you to everyone who subscribed and watched my video.
