Happy Friday stampers!  For today’s card I am playing along over on the Color Throwdown Challenge blog.  This week’s color challenge features navy blue, orange, kraft, and white.

I had an idea to use the new Paisleys & Posies stamp set from the Stampin Up 2016 Holiday Catalog to create my own designer series paper using the challenge colors.  I stamped several images from the stamp set using navy, orange, and kraft color inks onto a piece of whisper white cardstock.  I started with my largest image first and stamped the image in a triangular patter in a group of three in SU night of navy ink.  I then stamped the next largest image the same way using SU pumpkin pie ink and then followed with SU crumb cake.  I then filled in the spaces with smaller images and varied the ink colors I stamped them with to create my own designer series paper.
I then cut down the panel to 4 x 5 1/4 and layered it onto a piece of SU pumpkin pie cardstock.  This was added to an A2 top folding card base made from SU night of navy cardstock.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set onto another piece of night of navy card using Versamark ink and copper embossing powder.  I then layered this on a piece of vellum and adhered it to the front of the card using dimensionals.
I really like how this card turned out and think it would be a perfect masculine card.  Keeping the card simple and not adding a lot of embellishments makes this the perfect card for a guy.  The color scheme also works well for the fellas.
