Well hello there strangers! I can’t believe it has been weeks since I’ve posted a blog. Life just gets away from you sometimes so I apologize for my absence. I’m back just in time for Thanksgiving and to share this gratitude card I made.
I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock that I embossed using the Stampin Up Petal Burst embossing folder. I colored the individual petals using perfect plum, dapper denim, mint macaron, tip top taupe, and a versamark pen. I heat embossed all the versamark colored petals with copper embossing powder. I love how this background turned out by coloring the raised petals of the embossing folder. It didn’t take as long as you would think and the coloring was relaxing.
After finishing all the coloring, I ran my Versamark pad along the edges and heat embossed with that same copper embossing powder to get the copper color along the card edges. I then cut out a stitched circle from vellum and the sentiment “grateful” from some copper foil paper.
The entire card front was adhered to an A2 top folding card base made from mint macaron cardstock. I added the “for you” sentiment strip to finish out the saying. I really like how this card turned out.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Eat lots of pumpkin pie and turkey!
