Happy Hump Day and welcome to my video/card for Day Four of my 2016 Holiday Card Series. Today’s card features a watercolor wash background along with some emboss resist technique.
I started with a piece of Canon XL Watercolor paper and stamped the snowflake images from Flurry of Wishes by Stampin Up using Versamark ink. I heat set the images with some Wow Simmer Embossing Powder. Next I created a watercolor wash background using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Colors. I used several colors of blue and a purple color to create the background. The heat embossed images resisted the watercolor which created this gorgeous background.
Next I added some ink splatters and stamped the sentiment using more Versamark ink which I heat set with some Wow Platinum embossing powder. I then adhered this panel with some fun foam onto a top folding A2 card base made from smoky slate cardstock that was colored with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.
