Happy Saturday stampers! Today I have a video and card for Day Three of my 2016 Holiday Card Series. Today’s card features the inlay die cutting technique along with using border dies to create a unique background for your card.
I started with this cute winter scene die and cut it out of some pool party and whisper white cardstock. I then inlaid the pool party negative pieces into the whisper white die cut to give this cool inlay die cut focal piece for my card.
I then created the fun background using some Lawn Fawn border dies and ran those through my big shot onto a piece of old olive cardstock several times moving the die along the panel to give this gorgeous background.
I adhered the die inlay piece onto some vellum cut using another Lawn Fawn die from their stitched rectangle die set. This was adhered onto the card panel which was adhered to a top folding A2 card base made from some pool party cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a piece of cherry cobbler and ahdered that to the card front. The entire card was sprayed with some Sheer Shimmer Spritz.
