Hi there stampers! I have a fun card for you today featuring three different techniques. The first technique features the new Stylish Stems Framelits from the 2017 Stampin Up Catalog. I used the largest flower die to create a floral panel by running the die through my big shot multiple times on a whisper white panel. This particular die only cuts out the petals of the flower and does not cut out the entire shape so you can create a flower window on your card. The framelit set does come with the outline die if you want to cut the flower out.
The next technique was creating the rainbow background by ink blending several colors of Distress Inks. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and blended the rainbow of colors using my mini ink blending tool. I then spritzed the panel with some water to make the ink react with the water and picked it up with a paper towel. This gives the panel the cool bleached spots. I then spritzed the entire panel with some shimmer spray to add some glitter.
Next I cut out the hello sentiment using the Hello You Thinlits three times and adhered the die cuts together to give a chipboard effect. I then traced the outside of the die with a pencil onto a piece of vellum and cut this out with my paper snips. This gave my sentiment the vellum background that looks like an additional die cut.
