Hi there stampers! I have been so busy with my new job and then getting the flu that my time in my stamp room has been limited. Boy I miss getting to stamp everyday. Hopefully things will slow down at work and I can spend more time in the evenings making projects to share.
Today’s card and video feature the gorgeous Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits from the 2017 Occasions Catalog. This is one bundle you do not want to miss out on getting. I also used some of the dreamy glimmer paper from the Sale-a-bration catalog but unfortunately it sold out quickly and is no longer available.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and painted stripes using my Dapper Denim reinker. I then cut out the detailed smaller dragonfly in the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper and outline dragonfly image in vellum. I also cut out the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits from vellum.
I painted the back of the vellum dragonfly with the same Dapper Denim ink and then adhered this to the glimmer die cut. I added some gold thread to the back of the dragonfly using a glue dot an then adhered this to the vellum circle. I stamped the “hello” sentiment from Thoughtful Banners onto a piece of Dapper Denim cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder.
I cut down the watecolor panel to 4 x 5 1/4 and adhered this to a Sweet Sugarplum panel cut to 1/8 inch larger. This was then adhered to a top folding A2 card base made from thick Whisper White. I then adhered the dragonfly focal piece to the front and that finished the card.
