Hi there stampers! For today’s card I used the Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folders that are in the Occasions Catalog but also are carrying over to the new catalog that will release in June. Actually every stamp set and supplies used will be available in the new catalog so woohoo!
These embossing folders are unique in they de-emboss as opposed to emboss like most of our embossing folders do. This gives you the ability to stamp directly over the sentiment without getting ink into the embossed well of the word. It’s a super cool effect!
I stared with a piece of whisper white cardstock and embossed the word “Celebrate” using the Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folder. I then stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Sahara Sand ink right over the de-embossed image.
I used the Jar of Love stamp and coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits to stamp/die cut several floral images. I also used the large leaf shaped framelit to cut several dies from Old Olive cardstock. I used a Versamark pen to trace the inside of the de-embossed celebrate sentiment and then applied gold embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder and this gave me the cool gold effect to the card.
After heat setting the sentiment, I arranged the die cuts around the sentiment using Stampin Dimensionals and Tombow Multipurpose glue. I adhered the panel to a side folding card base made from Sahara Sand cardstock.
