Hi there stampers! Last night on Facebook, I did my first live video and I think it was a success. So for those of you who could not join the live portion, you can watch the video on my Facebook page HERE or over on my YouTube channel Here (or watch below).
I used the new Petal Passion Suite of products from the 2018 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration catalog to create the card featured in my video. I just love all the products in this suite but especially am loving the stamp set Petal Palette. The watercolor look of the images are perfect to color with the new Stampin’ Blends.
I started by stamping the flower image using Memento Black Ink onto some thick Whisper White cardstock. I then colored the image using my Stampin’ Blends using Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Pink Pirouette markers. I then used the coordinating dies to cut out the flower. I ran a piece of vellum cut to 2 x 4.25 inches in the Petal Pair embossing folder through my Big Shot to get that gorgeous embossed strip.
I cut a piece of the Petal Passion DSP to be the front of my card and adhered this to a top folding A2 card base made from Basic Black. I then adhered the vellum strip to the front by using the flower image backed with lots of dimensionals to hold the vellum piece on. I then cut out the “You” sentiment using the Celebrate You thinlits from the Sale-a-bration catalog that I earned for FREE with a $100 qualifying order. I cut out three die cuts and used multipurpose glue to adhere them all together. I then stamped the “celebrate” sentiment form the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous onto some whisper white cardstock and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. I then adhered this to the front of the card.
I used my Wink of Stella in clear to color the big You sentiment and added some rhinestones for extra bling. I love the look of the black and white card with the pop of color from the flower image. Be sure to check out my video and if you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel, make sure you do as I’ll be doing a giveaway on there soon as I reach 2k followers!
