Who doesn’t love unicorns and rainbows?!?!?  The Magical Day bundle in the SU Occasions Catalog has been one of my all time favorite stamp sets and I find myself smiling every time I make a card with this stamp set.  The sad news is that this bundle will not be carrying over to the new annual catalog and I am pretty darn sad about that.  So that means I need to make a ton of cards with this set while I can and for you, this means you better get to ordering it ASAP if you don’t want to miss out!

I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock that I embossed using the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Mask collection.  You can use your masks to create cool textured backgrounds by adding a silicone mat into your big shot sandwich.  I then stamped the unicorn from the Magical Day stamp set with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and colored using my Stampin’ Blends.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut the unicorn out.

I used the Layering Square Framelits to cut out the glitter cardstock and frame for the rainbow.  I used an old rainbow die I had gotten to cut out six different colored stripes and used the cloud dies from Umbrella Weather Framelits to cut out some clouds.  I arranged the rainbow to appear to be coming out of the square frame and adhered the clouds along with the unicorn to the front of the square frame.

I stamped the sentiment from Magical Day onto some basic black cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder.  I added some shimmer to the unicorn with my Wink of Stella.  All the pieces were adhered to an A2 top folding card base made from thick whisper white cardstock.
