Hi there stampers! Well I just can’t stop playing around with this technique because it gives the most beautiful results with little effort. I shared another card with this technique a couple weeks ago using the new Rooted in Nature stamp set and this card got a lot of attention on Instagram. So I kept playing around with different stamp sets using my glossy cardstock and came up with this card.
The ink resist on glossy cardstock is one of the more simple techniques to try. All you do is stamp your image onto a piece of glossy cardstock using Versamark ink and then heat set with your heat tool. Once the Versamark ink is dry, you rub ink over the top. I just use my ink pads and rub the ink over the glossy cardstock then wipe off any extra ink with a cloth. And voila, that is all there is to it! I stamped all the images from my bouquet onto pieces of glossy and applied several colors of ink – Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green. All of these colors are part of the Stampin Up color refresh in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog that goes live THIS Friday!! Woohoo!!
