Hi there stampers! Today’s card features some new products from the Stampin’ Up 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and some returning favorites. I’ve had the Marbled Background stamp for a while and always forget to use it. I decided to pull it out of my stash for this card and use two of the new colors from the color revamp to give the background some interest.
I first inked up the background stamp with White Craft Ink and then dabbed on Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks. I then stamped the background onto a piece of vanilla cardstock and then applied white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder and love how the white pops off the vanilla background (kinda hard to see in pictures so sorry about that). I then stamped the tree image from Rooted In Nature in the same purple inks and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark onto some vanilla cardstock and applied gold embossing powder. I heat set the powder and then fussy cut the sentiment out. I added a little bit of watercolor to the sentiment cut out to tone down the vanilla.
The leaves are my favorite part. One of our design team members at TGIF Challenges made a card where she colored die cut foil with Stampin’ Blends and it blew my mind. So I decided to give it a try for this card and well, I’m hooked! I also can’t stop coloring pearls and rhinestones with the Stampin’ Blends either. I can’t wait until the new colors are available because I plan to order them all!
