Hi there stampers! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! The weather here is hot, hot, and well hot so outdoor activities have been challenging. I’m thinking if it’s this hot already, what is August going to be like?!?! This just means more time in the craft room in the air conditioning trying to stay cool.
Today’s card features the new bundle called Abstract Impressions and I just love the sentiment I used on this card. The die cut floral from Springtime Impressions Thinlits just screamed to be watercolored.
I started by cutting out the floral die cut from watercolor paper twice and then watercolored the die cuts using the new In Colors – Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, and Call Me Clover. I then watercolored another panel of watercolor paper with Blueberry Bushel and added ink splatters with my Aqua Painter. I then cut out an additional 3 die cuts for each watercolor one and glued those together to give the die cuts even dimension. I adhered the die cuts to the blue watercolor panel and added the white heat embossed sentiment. The entire panel was adhered to a top folding A2 card base made from Basic Black. This sentiment is just perfect for so many occassions!
