Hi there stampers! This week’s challenge for TGIF Challenges features a color theme using Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, and Mango Melody. I decided to try this cheery color combo the fall inspired bundle Falling for Leaves and love how it turned out.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper that I treated with my embossing buddy and stamped the large leaf shape from the Falling For Leaves stamp set in Versamark ink all over the panel. I then heat set the images with White Stampin’ Embossing Powder and hit it with my heat tool. I then got to coloring using Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, and Coastal Cabana inks. I smoosh my ink pads onto my work surface to give me a palette to use for my watercoloring. I added splatters of ink onto the panel as well to give it additional interest.
I then used the coordinating dies called Detailed Leaves to cut out the leaf shapes from Vellum, Coastal Cabana, and Melon Mambo cardstock. I stamped the greeting onto a Basic Black square using Versamark and heat set that with the white embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment along with the die cuts onto the watecolored panel. I then added some bling with Rhinestones I had colored with my Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend. The entire panel was adhered to a top folding card base made from Basic Black.
I hope you play along with us this week at TGIF Challenges!
