Hi there stampers! This week’s TGIF Challenge features a color theme of Crumb Cake, Merry Merlot, and Cajun Craze. I knew immediately I wanted to use my new stamp set I purchased during the 24 hour sale called All The Good Things. The coy fish screamed to be stamped with these colors.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the fish onto some Shimmery White cardstock by adding splotches of the three challenge colors on the stamp. I love these distinctive stamp sets that SU has as they give such beautifully stamped images without a lot of work. I then fussy cut the fish out and added him to the vellum circle die cut that had been stamped/embossed in gold with the sentiment from that same stamp.
I used another piece of Shimmery White cardstock to watercolor the background using Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze inks. I then added ink splatters using those same ink colors. I then stamped some of the flower image from that stamp set using the second generation stamping technique onto the background. I adhered the vellum circle to the front and the entire panel was attached to a A2 top folding card base made from Cajun Craze. I added some metallic sequins to finish the card.
This time of year it’s hard not to make holiday themed cards so I took the opportunity to make a card that can be used all year long. Play along with us this week and let’s see what you can create with these colors!
