Hi there stampers! It has been way too long since I have gotten to play with stamps and ink. With us spending Thanksgiving out of the country and then having a ton of work to catch up on once back, that has left zero time for creating. The crazy thing is I got my pre-order for the new 2019 Occasions Catalog and have not used one item from that order yet. For this week’s TGIF Challenge we are featuring a color theme using Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue, and Sea Foam Green.
For my card I used the stamp set Free Cake which I got a few weeks back when Stampin Up had their sale on select stamp sets. I love the retro boom box stamp in this set and thought it would look perfect for this color theme. I started with a panel of Sea Foam Green and stamped the boom box using Mint Macaron ink randomly all over the panel. I then stamped the confetti stamp from the same stamp set using the same ink color. I stamped the boom box again onto a piece of Thick Whisper White with Balmy Blue ink and fussy cut it out. I cut a circle from Vellum and Mint Macaron cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Framlits. I stamped the sentiment and the sun ray stamps using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I then added the panel to a top folding A2 card base made from Mint Macaron and arranged the circles with the boom box on the front with dimensionals. I added Silver Metallic Thread and Adhesive Backed Sequins for added bling.
I hope you play along with us this week!
